People are the most fascinating creatures on the face of the earth. There is nothing else walking or breathing that is more complicated than the Human Being. The potential that you possess is absolutely incredible. I mean, a person can be born with absolutely nothing and go on in life to conquer the most immense challenges. How can one person conquer and strive despite those challenges, while another person buckle under the pressure? Well, that’s what we want to talk about today.
One of the most basic aspects of a person’s potential is courage. Courage is the act of standing up for something you believe in the face of adversity. Everyone is born with an enormous amount of courage. Have you ever noticed a little child? They are FEARLESS. They do whatever they want to do. The only thing that stops them from trying what they want to achieve is their environment (the people around them) teaching them that they can’t.
One of the things that aid us in developing our courage is our awareness. By default, we are aware of the power we are born with only when we are unaware of failure. But oftentimes we minimize our natural courage because we fear what has happened to us or others. This affects our present because we fear what will happen to us in the future. As adults we must be aware of our true power and place in this world. Once you know who you truly are and your rightful place, then you will no longer fear the past or future, because you realize that you always create your present.
So, we know that everything we do in life takes courage. However, it does not stop there. Although courage is vital, you also need another element from within. Your courage lacks a fortifying element that makes the difference between you doing what you love or living an unfulfilled life. What is that you ask? Strength!
Because of your courage, your fears will flee, but as you press to become the Inspired Vision of yourself, they will return. They will take different shapes and sizes. However, they are ultimately made of the same substance…nothing. Courage will get you to the contact point of fear, but to get through it, you need strength.
Strength comes from the inside, but it’s only ignited and supported by external circumstances and people. We are all here on this earth to encourage each other because we are all traveling to the same destination. On your journey, look for people to help keep you strong and look for people that you can make stronger. Strength and Courage go hand in hand.
Dwayne’s Coaching Point: Courage may get you to the Starting Line, but Strength carries you to the Finish Line.
